Research by the University of Debrecen in space: status report from the International Space Station Űrállomásról
Emerging seed leaves and fresh data are among the results of research measurements from the International Space Station that keep coming in constantly. In the scientific portfolio of Axiom Mission 4, the University of Debrecen is a participant in two projects: the first one is part of HUNOR Hungarian Astronaut Programme, where UD experts conduct research on brain hemodynamics, and the second one is on plant germination, micro-green cultivation and leaf development.

Student from UD Kossuth Secondary School Wins Brain Bee Domestic Round
A student from the Kossuth Lajos Secondary and Primary School of the University of Debrecen won the Hungarian final of Brain Bee, the prestigious international neuroscience competition for secondary school students. Áron Pankucsi-Versényi will represent Hungary in the world final of the contest in the autumn.

Innovation in sports through European cooperation
“In addition to the areas of education, research and social engagement, the University of Debrecen also has an increasingly important role in the economic life, while the knowledge available at the university can help small and medium-sized enterprises in the field of sports innovation to take their initial steps as easily as possible,” was one of the conclusions reached at the recent international business partner meeting of the I3-INSHAPE competition, which was hosted by Debrecen.

New anti-malarials from the University of Debrecen
Novel drug candidate compounds, which are currently unique in the world and likely to be effective in the treatment of malaria, have been produced at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Debrecen. The outstanding achievement of the researchers involved has been recognized by a publication award by Gróf Tisza István Debreceni Egyetemért Alapítvány [Count István Tisza Foundation for the University of Debrecen].

New medicines may emerge from Uzbek relationship
The production of several new herbal preparations is in the pipeline due to the cooperation between the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Debrecen and the Tashkent Institute of Pharmacy, which has been developed in recent years. There are also plans to jointly research and develop bacteriophage-based pharmaceuticals.

Building a relationship that shapes the future
The University of Debrecen has signed a research, innovation and technology cooperation agreement with a Chinese delegation. The strategic partnership covers the fields of medicine, therapeutic procedures, drug and food development, and artificial intelligence-based research and development, among others. Our Innovation Centre was buzzing with creative energy

UD YouMed Signs Agreement with Another Turkish Construction Company
UD YouMed, the private healthcare provider of the University of Debrecen, has entered into a strategic agreement with AFG Steel Construction and Chemistry Kft., the Hungarian subsidiary of Assan Panel, a prominent international player in the construction industry. Under the newly signed agreement, UD YouMed will provide comprehensive healthcare services to the company’s employees in Hungary.

Education and production at the same place: the Faculty of Pharmacy’s new building has been inaugurated
The new building of National Manufacturing, Research and Education Center of the Faculty of Pharmacy, recently inaugurated in Vezér Street Industrial Park of the University of Debrecen, is now available for both education and pharmaceutical research and manufacturing. The three-floor, almost 7,000 square-meter, complex was built in one year at the cost of roughly HUF 12 billion.
